As I write this, I‘m looking out at stunning woods and brilliant foliage from the window of my home office on the property of “This Old House,” our “new” older home—a really special place.

My partner Teresa and I once heard that in real estate as in relationships, if you get 80% of what you want, you’re lucky. We knew we were very lucky when we met Randy, who found this property that has far more than 80% of what we ever imagined!
Randy has a work ethic rarely seen in today’s marketplace. He listened to us—no lip service— clearly understood what we wanted, and didn’t stop looking until we knew this property was the one. We didn’t want a cookie-cutter house, but a home with charm, character, comfort, and plenty of yard for our beloved pets.
Finding it was just the beginning.
Randy followed that up with months of extraordinary service, remarkable patience, and boundless energy to get done what needed to be done to make this sale happen. That included crawling around in our attic several times to get measurements for a contractor correcting issues found in home inspection of the condo we were selling. How many realtors do you know would do that once much less several times? Randy was no stranger to our attic; in fact it became a running joke. If something needed to be done up there or anywhere in condo, he was there to help do it or if he couldn’t do it, he knew who could.
Randy was our advocate every step of the way with the new property too, right down to splitting the cost of a home warranty on the older property with the seller’s realtor in order to seal the deal and make this house our home.

With Randy’s knowledge and experience, we happily sold our home two months after listing for close to the asking price. Randy handled our transaction with the utmost professionalism and respect. Randy took the time to meet with us prior to our contracting with him so we could feel confident in selecting the best Realtor. He made us feel that we were his first priority and that he was not interested in overloading his plate with contracts that he could not give 100% of his attention to. He provided comparable statistics and, we feel, gave us a professional opinion of the marketplace at the time and educated guidance regarding the pricing of our home.
Randy provided needed suggestions in a positive manner to help sell our home and even went the extra mile to furnish areas of our home that were lacking appeal. If my husband and I were unable to take care of an issue, he did it. He took the time to make sure everything was correct. He was not like an absentee Realtor that you never saw after the contract was signed. He held weekly open houses for several months. Even after a contingent offer was accepted, when some Realtors may have moved on, he continued to hold open houses on our property that ultimately led to a sale. He was always available to answer questions at any time. Randy is a conscientious person who took the time to explain things, making two calls to both my husband and myself when my husband and I were not at the same place.
Randy is knowledgeable about the various scenarios that can occur with offers and provided us with needed information to help us evaluate the offers. When I was scheduled to be out-of-town during our closing settlement appointment, Randy made sure all paperwork was in proper order for the transaction to occur without my presence. He made sure I was fully informed before I departed for my t rip and I was most appreciative of this. He calmed our fears and made selling our home a less stressful experience.
I would not hesitate to utilize Randy’s services again and to refer friends and family to him.
